What is a Breastfeeding Consultation?

As a Lactation Peer Counselor I am a professional breastfeeding specialist trained to teach mothers how to feed their babies. I help women experiencing breastfeeding problems, such as latching difficulties, painful nursing, and low milk production, as well as helping babies who aren't gaining enough weight. I also help women who want to return to work or school meet their breastfeeding goals. And I am familiar with breastfeeding equipment, like the many kinds of breast pumps, Haakaas, nipple creams, breast pads, remedies, tips on how to safely store expressed breast milk, diet, nutrition, and more.

During a Breastfeeding Consultation we would discuss these things and how they relate to your unique body, baby, challenges, and situation.
